The Seven-Year Slip by Ashley Poston
Spoiler-Free Synopsis:
The Seven-Year Slip follows the story of Clementine, a travel publisher in New York City, after she moves into her late aunt’s Upper East Side apartment. Despite spending time there with her aunt throughout her life, it is only now that she realizes the strange nature of it. The apartment hosts two time periods at once. So, while Clementine is living there in one time period, Iwan is simultaneously living there, but exists seven years earlier. Both characters are in their twenties and are experiencing challenges of grief and self-discovery, combined with the uncertainty of a relationship in which they spend each night together, but leave each morning into entirely different worlds.
Spoiler-Free Review:
This book was very cute!! It was an easy read and I read it pretty quickly. I will say that I was really not a fan of Clementine’s name and especially her nickname (Lemon), but that complaint is quite minuscule by comparison. It was a feel-good romance that I would definitely recommend for anyone trying to relax with a cozy book.
